The Burgers of L.A. was released in 2024 by photographer, Andrew Uchin, as a 12-image fold-out postcard leporello housed in a double-side printed folding portfolio. Published in an edition of 500, it includes an essay by architectural historian Jeffrey Herr. Photographed in the early 2000s, the black and white images feature vernacular hamburger graphics: many of the sites are no longer extant. Text on the back of the photographes identifies each site. Embedded in this piece are details of the artist’s daily work commute which was the inspiration for the project. For more information about Uchin's work: https://www.andrewuchin.com
