Neon Night Walk DTLA Bright and Blurry- Thursday, May 30th, 7:00pm

Join Urban Anthropologist and Neon Historian Eric Lynxwiler, for an illuminating journey through the history of Downtown Los Angeles, its theater marquees, and the luminous signage of the neighborhood's storied watering holes. The two-hour walk will reveal how this complex and evolving hub of finance, art, and urban decay maintained a dialog with the business of booze. The walk will begin at the Biltmore Hotel and will cross over several urban blocks and almost 2 miles of neon wonderment.

Eric Lynxwiler is the co-author of "Spectacular Illumination: Neon 1925-1965", "Wilshire Boulevard: Grand Concourse of Los Angeles" and "Signs of Life: Los Angeles is The City of Neon"
