Nikola Tesla originally created this iconic scientific lamp which was originally made in 1894, following his experiments with high voltage currents. The plasma ball demonstrates the properties of electrical discharges, which you can control with your fingers as you touch the lamp.

The globe is a sphere that has most of its air replaced with 3 noble (inert) gases – neon, argon and xenon. A high frequency alternating current electrode is in the centre, which discharges and excited filaments the strike inside the globe. When you touch the globe, these filaments are attracted to the spot. This globes run on both AC power and batteries. Comes in ball, 6" and 8" sizes. The ball size runs on USB and battery power.

8-inch size: Has 2 settings - on and audio. It has a built-in microphone so when you select audio mode, it will turn on and off to any loud noises nearby or flash in time with the music. Touch it and watch lightning follow your finger as you move it around.
