Evangelism, Electric Signs, and Early Hollywood come to light on this mile and half walk. Get a behind the bulb history of Echo Park's signage with Historian and author Dydia DeLyser, Neon Expert Paul Greenstein, and MONA Executive Director Corrie Siegel. Dydia DeLyser is an author, historical geographer at Cal State Fullerton, and MONA Board Secretary. Designer, fabricator, installer and expert on all things neon and Los Angeles: Paul Greenstein has restored and recreated two key signs in Echo Park as well as throughout LA.
This will be a socially distanced walk available for a maximum of 15 guests. Masks are mandatory, walking shoes are encouraged. An adapted zoom presentation will be available to those who would prefer learning from home. In person tours will be limited to 15 people, and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. To ensure the safety of all, guests will be asked to wear masks and maintain distance from people outside of their household/pod during the tour.
